after releasing basswerk sessions vol.1 single cd compilation in 1998, a second one (vol. 2) with 2 cd's in 2003, we are now proud to present this 3 cd compilation in 2008.
cd1 is a mellow one named "chill-session", cd2 is more groovy and rising up to a bit heavier groove stuff and is called "groove-session". cd3 brings a lot of neurofunk and/or tech-y sounding tunes and is called technik session. we are especially proud of cd1, as we think this kind of drum & bass is really nice to listen to and is forgotten too often in the rave and dj-business.
our goal has always been to keep a variety of musical d&b styles although we are aware that this scene shows tendencies to split into different subgenres. that is one reason why we made 3 cds with different styles this time. while those parties are in fact special celebrations, we want to bring a little bit of their flavor to your homes. and of course we also want to bring some basswerk tunes into cd-dj-bags.
all the tracks on here have never been on cd, a few of them have been on basswerk vinyl before. enjoy and listen! Also, there will be 2 vinyl releases basswerk 31 and 32 accompanying this release, including basswerk labelhead the green man, a zero-t remix, giana brotherz and dementia & nme click.
Basswerk is germany's most famous label, tracks are played and were produced by dj's all over the world.
